Bolder Foods is led by Bob Aiken, who joined Bolder after serving as the CEO of U.S. Foodservice, one of the largest food companies in North America with revenues of over $18 billion and nearly 25,000 employees. Earlier in his career, Bob led efforts to build a bakery company with revenues of over $600 million that is part of Sara Lee today. Bob also built his family’s manufacturing business from $10 million in revenue to over $35 million, so he has experienced first hand the challenges and satisfaction of building great companies.

He serves as a board member of United Stationers, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and The Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Bob earned a JD and BSBA from Georgetown University.

Phil Rooney
Chairman, Accutest, Bolder Specialty Testing Group and Nationwide Studios, Inc.

Phil Rooney serves as the chairman and CEO of Nationwide Studios and chairman of Bolder’s Specialty Testing Group. He is also chairman of Claddagh, LLC, an investment company. He served as president and vice chairman of the Board of Directors at Service Master from 1997 to 2003, after leading Waste Management Inc. as president, COO/CEO and board member from 1969 to 1997. He has or currently serves as a board member for Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc., Illinois Tool Works, Caremark, Stone Container Corp., Urban Shopping Centers, and Van Kampen Mutual Funds.

Rooney is currently a trustee for the University of Notre Dame. He graduated from St. Bernard College in 1966, and served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966-1969, earning the Bronze Star and Navy Commendation Medal for service in Vietnam.

John Pantazis
CEO

John Pantazis is the president and co-founder of Amptek. In 1997, the XR-100 X-ray detector, as an integral part of the Alpha Proton X-ray Spectrometer (AXPS) on the Mars Pathfinder mission, collected X-ray fluorescence spectra on the surface of Mars. He has also developed and provided product support for numerous hybrid charge sensitive preamplifiers and associated front-end electronics, and holds two U.S. Patents. In addition to his technical expertise, John has organized worldwide distribution and marketing of Amptek’s products and services, provided product support, contract and project management, as well as administrative and financial oversight.

John received his BA and MS degrees in Physics from Northeastern University in 1966 and 1967. From 1967 to 1986 he worked in the field of scientific satellite instrumentation at Emmanuel College Physics Research Division, a contractor to the U. S. Air Force. He worked on over 20 space flight instruments including electrostatic analyzers that measured electrons and ions, and detectors for high and low energy protons.

Joe Unangst has served as president and CEO of Galson since 1996. Unangst has been with Galson since 1986, having served as a vice president and laboratory director, senior vice president and his current role. Chris Kete

Chris Kete joined Horsburgh & Scott in 2010 as president and chief executive officer. Kete previously served as vice president and general manager, Off-Highway, Specialty and Defense for Arvinmeritor, Inc where he was responsible for revenues in excess of $400 million.
